Not A Faze, the innovative new app utilizing AI technology to transform selfies into various GOTH-inspired looks, announces its launch in February of 2024. Developed with a custom AI engine, the app manipulates users' surroundings, hair, makeup, clothing, and overall appearance to evoke styles ranging from 90's mall goth to 80’s goth and black metal.

The concept for Not A Faze originated as a passion project in 2023, with production and design commencing in November of the same year. Drawing inspiration from 90's and 2000's alternative trends, as well as early digital messaging platforms, the app reimagines these influences for a modern audience.

We wanted to create an app for those who have either embraced a goth aesthetic in the past or have always been curious about it," said Nicholas Jackson, Founder of Vicious Studio, the team behind Not A Faze. "With 'Not A Faze,' users can revisit that phase and express their secret dark side.

To experience the transformative power of Not A Faze, users can download the app from the Apple App Store, upload their selfies, and witness their alternative personas come to life. Sharing their results on social media, users are encouraged to tag @NotAFazeApp on Instagram to showcase their goth-inspired looks.
